Maverick was a complete surprise to Kim. Lil' Maxx passed away in Dec. 2022, Kim became very depressed as Maxx was a mama's boy and had been with us the longest of all our pack.
When I, Bret, saw that he was available, I immediately knew he was for her. He has filled the hearts of many and is a very special and sweet baby boy. He was meant to be with us.
He was diagnosed with IMPA, an auto-immune response to getting the lepto virus just few days prior to him being old enough to receive the vaccine.
Maverick is our Miracle boy as the vets think he wouldn't have made it through without the special help of a Veterinary school and hospital in Wisconsin, which is a couple of ours away from our home.
He spent a week there and improved after a several painstaking tests, blood draws, a bone tap and a lot of medications.
We call him our Miracle Mav.
Currently he is 5 months old and still is on medication. He will go back for further testing to ensure he is clear from the inflammation in his joints.
All sales from this tumbler will go directly towards his care. His medical bills ranged over $8,000.
Maverick is very well behaved, loves to play, give kisses, cuddle and most of all loves a good belly rub.
Maverick continues to be on steroids and pain relievers as needed. He is doing remarkably well. We appreciate all those who have donated towards his care.
